There are many opportunities for athletes to advance is the sport of freestyle skiing. Freestyle skiing requires a combination of physical fitness, skiing fundamentals, and aerial training. Athletes looking to advance in the sport generally follow a progression that involves trampoline training, ramp training, and summer ski camps to work on the technical aspects of freestyle.
Trampoline training is available at Freestyle America in Campton, NH or at Lake Pacid as part of water ramping. Ramping is available at Lake Placid water ramps as well as at Freestyle America's bag jump facility in Waterville Valley, NH. Summer ski camps are typically held in Mt. Hood, Oregon and Whistler in British Columbia.
Camps run from Spring until Fall. You can check out the camps run by Stratton's coaches as well as those run by Freestyle America and The Freestyle Camp.
